MOMENT OF SILENCE
In America, Memorial Day has become the unofficial start of summer — and one of the biggest beer-selling days of the year. But its true purpose is to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to the nation.
So instead of joining the noise, Budweiser did the opposite. On one of its biggest sales days of the year, the brand went completely silent — pausing all advertising across TV, radio, print, and social to create a nationwide moment of reflection. Over 87 million Americans took part in a minute of silence to honor those who gave everything.
Even Budweiser’s 12 breweries joined in, halting production for a full minute — 61,000 fewer beers made, but a powerful reminder that some things matter far more than sales.
